ITEM: PRINTABLE LONDON DIVIDERS FOR PERSONAL SIZE FILOFAX

This idea of new dividers came up in my head a while back, but I didn’t have enough time to actually create them.  Then I finally managed to create them last night so I’d like to show them to you today! 🙂  Unfortunately these new dividers are not for sale, and you’ll see the reason why if you read this post! 😉

My first step is always sketching on a piece of paper.

1

After sketching, I draw/colour on Photoshop.  My Photoshop is really old but it still does the job!!

2

After finishing all the designing, I printed them out, cut them out and laminated them- my usual steps when making dividers.

So here are the London Dividers I made!!  There is a double-decker bus, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, guards, taxi and a red phone booth!

As you can see, the tabs are ridiculously long (especially the Big Ben tab!), so if I carry them in my handbag, they’ll definitely get bent!!  But I just really wanted to create them, and as I expected it was a lot of FUN creating them!!!

I set them up in my Filofax (Poppy Saffiano).  Wow!!  A tiny London is in my Filofax!!  It almost feels like I can hear all the lively noise in London!! 😀

They are, of course, dividers, so I typed words on the tabs.  I made the letters very small and discreet so they don’t stand out too much.

They are sticking out at the top!

They aren’t practical dividers, but I just love them and really enjoyed creating them, so I hope I can create different versions sometime!  Maybe the next one will be… a Tokyo version!?

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

  1. Oh my that is amazingly cute! It is like a mini tableau. How I wish you were selling them since I am here in the UK as well for my vacation. I want something to remember london by when I go back to work.

    1. Thank you! 🙂 I think the Paris version would look really neat as well! Probably I can include the Eiffel Tower, Triumphal arch, Notre Dame Cathedral..etc..etc.. 😉

        1. Ohhh!!! That’s absolutely right! When I was designing these dividers, I accidentally ran into this image and I thought I wanted the same phrase on my dividers!:

But I never thought of changing the Z to S!!! I learnt English in America but moved to the UK after getting married to my British husband, so my brain is always bouncing between American & British English! I sometimes spell “organise”, but I use “z” for my shop name “cute organizing”, and it’s just that the whole thing is really confusing for me sometimes lol!! Oh well.. I really wish I noticed that before creating them! 😦

  2. OMGosh I squealed when I saw them. We had spent the summer in England and Ireland and OMG I am in love with London.

    1. Sounds like you had a great time in England & Ireland! 🙂 I wish I lived near London because there are many Japanese shops and restaurants there! 🙂 I’ve never been to Ireland even though my husband is half Irish!

  3. Sachiko, Ireland is beautiful but England just stole my heart. I can’t wait to go back But my husband is from Japan and wants to go there first. If you do get the chance to go to Ireland, spend a couple of nights at Dromoland Castle. You will be in love!

    1. Oh, your husband is Japanese! 😀 I just checked Dromoland Castle- it’s such a fantastic looking castle, and you can actually stay there?? That’s amazing! I really hope I can visit Ireland with my husband sometime 🙂

    1. Thank you very much for your interest in my dividers! I’m not planning to start selling them as a finished product, but I’ve actually been thinking about selling them as PDF files! 🙂 If I manage to start selling them I’ll announce it on this blog! 😉
